One selection, several games updated
DLSS Swapper version 1.2.7.0, released on 18 October in the project’s official repository, introduces a long-awaited feature: applying a change to several titles in a single operation. The changelog confirms multi-selection and preset management alongside DLL files.
VideoCardz explains the process: the Bulk Swap action sits in the library toolbar. It lets users select several games, or even the entire list, then choose which versions to use for each supported library type. Options left unchanged retain their current version.
Original files can also be restored in batches. A summary separates successful replacements, skipped games and errors. A title that does not use a selected technology is therefore not simply treated as a failed update.
A faster library and preset C
The developer also fixed a Steam game detection issue that could interrupt library loading. The fix also shortens the time needed for a full scan.
The update adds DLSS Frame Generation preset C. It also fixes a notification that could fail to report a new version and introduces an update banner. These changes concern the software itself: they are not a promise of performance gains in every game.
What DLSS Swapper can actually change
The tool downloads, manages and replaces the DLSS, FSR and XeSS libraries used by games that already support them. This makes it possible to try a newer version, or revert to an older one, without waiting for a game update.
The project supports Steam, GOG, Epic Games, Ubisoft Connect, Xbox and Battle.net, as well as manually added games. However, it does not add DLSS to a title that does not already have it.
The developers also warn that replacing a library guarantees neither better image quality, higher frame rates nor perfect stability. A game may even refuse to launch until its original file is restored. Batch processing is therefore mainly a convenience feature: it reduces manual steps without removing the need to check the outcome.
Key takeaways
For experienced users who maintained each title manually, this release brings real convenience. The official download is available from the DLSS Swapper GitHub repository; the restore feature remains useful for rolling back if a game reacts badly.
