A Vice City beach, a dog and a fight
It was an unexpected venue: GTA VI appeared in “Guinea Pig On A Stick”, broadcast on Wednesday 28 October on Comedy Central in the US. South Park Studios announced the episode for 10 pm Eastern time, in the early hours of 29 October in France. On screen, a presenter shows the game to the series' characters on a television.
The clip begins with a dog on the sand, then switches to a third-person view behind Jason, recognisable by his backwards cap and black tank top. A minimap appears at the bottom left. Around him, holidaymakers populate the beach between the umbrellas and the water's edge.
The gag fits South Park's tone: the dog's droppings become the focus of an altercation with a passer-by. Insider Gaming describes Jason provoking the animal's owner, then using the droppings to hit him when he turns around. The short clip thus shows a deliberately grotesque interaction with a non-player character, rather than a mission or an extended scripted demonstration.
Rockstar is explicitly credited
The images' origin is supported by more than their appearance. Insider Gaming journalist Mike Straw posted a photo of the credits reading “Grand Theft Auto VI footage courtesy of Rockstar Games, Inc.” Both the game and the studio are explicitly identified.
That credit distinguishes the sequence from a fan edit or anonymous video presented as a leak. It does not, however, disclose the collaboration's terms: we cannot conclude that this is a paid advertising partnership between Rockstar and the series.
A glimpse of the world, not a performance measurement
The sequence mainly offers a look at a lively beach, the third-person camera, the interface and a passer-by's reaction to an attack. The figures, holidaymakers' movements and sand details provide another glimpse of Vice City's environment.
However, this short video aired within a show cannot establish the game's frame rate, rendering resolution or CPU load. The material consulted does not specify the capture platform. Drawing console comparisons or PC hardware requirements from it would therefore be premature.
GTA VI is still scheduled for 19 November
Rockstar still lists release on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Those two console families remain the platforms announced on the official site; this South Park clip makes no announcement regarding a PC version.
For players, the appeal is tangible: a few more seconds of gameplay, complete with interface and a close-range interaction, in a setting very different from a conventional trailer. It offers another look at Vice City before release, without turning a televised gag into a catalogue of confirmed features.
Key takeaways
An unexpected appearance showing GTA VI in action in a very South Park scene. Release remains scheduled for 19 November on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
